Do what the more advanced Europeans do: open cable svc to competition! & lower our costs!
The Europeans are putting the U.S. to shame and making us look bad. They have large numbers of companies offering broadband service at a fraction of our rates in this country. Why should I have to pay $57.00/month when it would cost me as little as $6.00 in Europe, all because our provider (Cox) has a monopoly? Why is our own government protecting one corporation instead of protecting the American consumer?

cable competition is so needed in many areas, especially smaller areas with populations of 75,000 or so.
