      • Get rid of the Child Internet Protection Act

In the schools that can afford laptops for their students, this act makes these once handy pieces of technology into golden bricks. Students complain about having educational sites blocked. Facebook is banned as well, but Facebook has been proven to promote collaboration between students. In addition, when the sites are blocked at home, is this not invasion of privacy? Students should have the right to browse the internet how they like at home, and this useless act prevents that.

            • More broadband competition is needed among Comcast, AT&T, and Time Warner

I currently pay over $300 per month for Comcast TV, Telephone, and Internet. When I have searched in the Houston surrounding areas I have found that Comcast has certain areas and AT&T has certain areas but they do not compete in those same areas. Is this because the FCC limits competition?

              • Do what the more advanced Europeans do: open cable svc to competition! & lower our costs!

The Europeans are putting the U.S. to shame and making us look bad. They have large numbers of companies offering broadband service at a fraction of our rates in this country. Why should I have to pay $57.00/month when it would cost me as little as $6.00 in Europe, all because our provider (Cox) has a monopoly? Why is our own government protecting one corporation instead of protecting the American consumer?

                • Privatize yourself

Sell yourselves off, then focus on regulating that entity which would be supported by licensing fees. If you say you can regulate thousands of broadcasters, cable companies, etc., then surely you can regulate one industry association at considerably lesser cost. Why would you do something that could be done by a private entity like Underwriters Laboratories?

                  • It's time for ISPs to be Common Carriers.

The FCC has a history of protecting Net Neutrality. But the recent proposals would go against the core of a neutral internet. "Two tier" has never sounded like a level playing field. Obama pledged that "I am a strong supporter of Net neutrality," and campaigned on it. I wonder if the $200,000 to $500,000 Tom Wheeler raised for our President has anything to do with it. That is correct, what you're thinking. This is a thinly veiled "quid pro quo" bribe to give some of the largest money makers an obvious advantage. When Time Warner and Comcast merge (with the…

                    • Are banks in the United States allowed to own media outlets? Magazines, newspapers, radio or tv stations?

I read that this is being banned in some countries and would be interested to know that status in the US.

                      • Give the elderly and disabled power ti choose tv providers

I live in Midland Commons, a Senior Community, in Charlotte, NC. I am a 67 year-old, disabled woman. The manager will not allow me to have Dish network which is more affordable for me. Shee says it's an eyesore. Our apartments are all ground-level. Mine is the last apt. Near the woods. Is this still America? Are the elderly to be treated like children? Are we dispised for growing old. I am mostly home-bound.

                        • Strickter rules and regulations on cable television

The language and nudity on basic television is getting nauseating. This is not what i am paying for! Make stricter regulations on what is allowed on cable tv.

                          • Who can I contact at FCC to inquire if a public service project idea can be done

I am looking for help in finding a contact I can discuss the feasibility/legality of a public safety project idea my company has that would require transmitting an FM signal over a short distance, requiring a LPFM license. We are in the research phase and would like to discuss this further so we can determine if it can be done. How can we proceed?

I have recently been advised via telephone by AT&T that it and other digital broadband services are now requiring all customers to rent modems from AT&T at the price of $7.00 per month in order to receive digital broadband service. This was practice was prohibited years ago regarding delivery of telephone service and should likewise be prohibited to the digital broadband service providers.

                                • Bar Full Encrypted Cable TV systems carrying HD / 3D / 4K to stop cell phone jamming

14 - 28 for standard definition channels per 6 mhz band. (recommended to stop cell phone jamming)
3 - 8 high definition Channels (pull plug on to stop cell phone jamming)
2 3D channels (pull plug on to stop cell phone jamming)
1 4K channel (pull plug on to stop cell phone jamming)

Plus nearly all of the high definition channels simulcast standard definition feeds. High definition, 3D, and 4k only feeds have to convert to standard definition feeds.

Ther are currently no good ways to block unwanted calls. The national do not call list is a joke! My provider (Comcast) provides the ability to block 25 numbers, but I must do it manually.
I do not wish to answer a call from (000) 000-0000.

                                        • FM channel allocation

As a listener, I am frustrated by the amount of interference on AM radio. Can we move all those stations to FM by creating more channels in FM or by allocating more stations adjacent to each other by what I have suggested below?

My idea is to create more FM channels by creating a new FM transmission profile say 'FM Mono' which has a bandwidth of only 6kHz(max. audio frequency 3kHz?) and no stereo or RBDS. The inter-channel spacing could be the rest of the current bandwidth(94kHz?).

Since the channel spacing is very wide, there should not much interference from…
