Sec. 15.239 Operation in the band 88-108 MHz.
There error the band is actually 87.5 to 108 Mhz The reason is Analog TV channel 6 has vacated that frequency during the change to DTV.
It appears the FCC is licensing commercial FM stations on 87.9, 87.7 and 87.5 mhz. I have noticed that low power unlicensed transmitters are being marked on 87.9 mhz. The promoters are advertising interference free use.4 votes -
