Apps for Communities is a joint project of the FCC and the Knight Foundation. The challenge is awarding $100,000 in prizes to developers who create applications for mobile and desktop use that make our cities and communities more livable. Leave your ideas below.

  1. Amount of checkins at particular locations.

    What if your maps showed you the amount of traffic through out business clubs haircuts short wait long wait.

  2. How about the star symbol like 10 points good 1 bad

    And add the best ones and make the app. Speak so for older people who can't hear , see or even be able to read beleave it bor not there are a lot of people who can't even read !

    This app links teachers, College students and k-12 students in exchange It then matches them based on tutorial need.

    To save time and money, a restaurants capacity, # seated and wait time before customers arrive would be nice.
