  1. Stop the constant barage of higher education business attaching their services to job related searches.

Instead of making it my responsibility to constantly renew my do not call registry. Make it the responsibility of the corporations to see if I am already on the list before they make the call. I also despise automated free contest announcements and automatic subscriptions by computer attached to links.
You want to get to me? Hire a human preferably somebody that speaks domestic Englishwell with clear diction. Make it part of the hiring process.

I also despise being charged for business calls to me! How can that be legal?

If you must talk to me you can pay for…

  2. Public listings of yourself and/or your business. ie: yelp, whitepages, google and such. Pay or your listing dies...

I listed my small business via YELP, which covered my exposure to the public, accessing several search engines. WELL, this year i cannot afford to renew my listings... SUCKS, but what really SUCKS is that my once listed information has been edited, misused, harrassed daily, diverted to paid advertisers linked and unfair strong arm type business pratices. My email is full of "we can find your listing messages". Sad. Joseph Flynn 727-366-6848 Joint lawsuit ???

  4. Direct communication with the public. Summarize or provide abstract of the rulemaking to get appropriate feedback.

Utilize the several hundred databases to find citizens able to give appropriate feedback. Some can be very wordy. Shorten and summarize to highlight relevant points. Use different methods for contacting individuals. Am I explaining a focus group here?

  6. Please please please please make automated calling of any sort for any purpose illegal

i waste more man hours per day answering automated calls. sometimes i even receive more calls from automated recordings than customers. this waste alone has cost the business money, and right now money is hard to come by.

  7. When the

When the FCC mandates that existing media companies pay fees for a new program and that they do not have to pass those fees onto their customers, does the FCC really think the companies are going to eat those fees and not pass them on to the customers? Show just ONE (1) example of such a case. Therefore, the FCC, in the case of the Lifeline program should have sent the program out to the public for comment since all the media companies have in fact passed those cost onto their customers and we are in fact paying for this…

  9. The FCC should continue to monitor and prohibit nudity and profanity on networks/radio. It isn't censorship, it's common sense.

Too many in our country are consumed with their own rights rather than what will benefit the greater good. Children should not be exposed to nudity or profanity and this consideration should dictate FCC's policies. If this was not monitored, even commercials and "family" shows would run amok with nudity and profanity and (good) parents would not be able to have the tv or radio on at all. It seems to be a fading notion to protect those who are vulnerable but there is a cost to such selfishness. Have the courage to stand up for what is right people!

  11. Price transparency is required for all Cable or telephone companies

Cable companies has a tendency to rip customers off by offering 6 months or 12 months "special discount" price. However, they never tell them what the actual "regular price" would be when the "special discount" period is over. This pricing scheme is open ended. Companies can charge whatever they want. This force the customers to pay over 50% or more than their "speciall discount" price. Of course, customers can terminate the service. Unfortunately, many cities and communities do not have more than one competitors in those services. In this case, Comcast is notoriously using this scheme, and I believe FCC…

  12. Do not grant a monopoly for Fairbanks local news to one individual--Bill St. Pierre

Would the people of the city of Fairbanks not be better served if one person did not have a monopoly on local TV news coverage? When did the FCC start granting such monopolies?

  13. Acknowledge, as some states have acknowledged that a lifeline credit 'consumer' are exempted from "FEDERAL SUBSCRIBER LINE CHARGES".

Consumers with a life line credit are of low or no income. Some states have acknowledged the unfair practices, of providing communications to elderly and disable individuals and have them exempted from the "Federal Subscriber Line Charge". In public rule making, perhaps the FCC should have some feedback on a state level, as to whom will 'benefit' when allowing such charges and whom will the impact hinder. As my life line credit has helped in the passed, but it is has shrunk in it's intended purpose with the approval of ALL the other charges for a standard land line service.

  15. Is there a rule for Customer Service response times for Wireless carriers!? 55 minutes hold on StraightTalk!

We recently had to wait for more than 55 minutes for a live operator to help us with a port of wireless number from AT&T to Straighttalk (Tracfone Wireless). The question I have is if FCC should require service level agreements for these companies who are grabbing consumers without having the infrstructure and customer support capacity to service them?!

  17. Most public attention and opinions follow news' recap of rulings. Pose the effects of the ruling before it is concrete via social media.

Once news communicates the effects of a ruling, the true public opinion surfaces and which is later than needed. I love the idea of having the ability to be pro-active in the rulemaking process. Could public opinion or voting be generated by having a simulated ruling? What if... a news story surfaces on news.google.com the "FCC decides to obsolete the TV tuner by allowing Comcast to require set top boxes for all" where the ruling has not occurred yet, but a news story format communicates affected pros and cons. Public would likely cast their opinions and FCC could compile the…

  18. Where can I report an individual making physical harm threats to me on a post in Yahoo?

Physical threats to an individual should not be tolerated even if its on Yahoo. I also believe that people would think twice of what they are posting if they were required to post their real picture/ live camera screen when posting.

  19. Make new (Jan 2013) cross-ownership rule easy to find -- where is it? Deadline? Can we comment online? Where background w FCC rationale?

FCC site has no transparency, no dates on search items, set up to be opaque to public so it can serve the communications industry's sandbox -- or so it appears. New cross-ownership rule is a major change that should be featured on front page of FCC website.
