Data

At the FCC, we are committed to unlocking our agencies data and putting open, machine readable data into the hands of citizen developers and the community. Let us know how we can improve FCC.gov/Data

  1. Please require station identification logo can only be displayed for a few seconds after commercial.

Any logo is distracting from the programming. Any text scrolling that is non-relevant to the programing is distracting and infuriating. There is way too much unwanted, in your face, "forced advertising" in our society. It all needs to stop.

  3. Interference is only policed if intentional.

Am I reading this correctly? I can register as a HAM radio operator and put together a sloppy transmitter and I am not liable for any problems I cause as long as the frequencies I stomp are accidental?

  4. require satellite technicians to remove the ground wire prior to servicing a satellite system

by removing the ground they are saving their own life. I was a technician in a home that was struck by lightning prior to me being there. I was shocked until I was unconscious by a dish network receiver when I placed my right hand on the casing and my left hand grabbed the cable fitting (that was grounded in the basement) resulting in a completion of the circuit. I survived thankfully but, I cannot get help for the injuries I sustained. (or that I was left with) due to the fact of nature. by requiring this, it eliminates the…

  5. Firmware on cell phone to prevent texting or talking on phone while in motion.

We see it on the news, on the road, texting or talking on the phone contributing to injury or DEATH because the user was distracted while driving. I see people walking and texting not aware of their surroundings, walking across parking lots unaware of vehicles moving. My suggestion, embed in the software the feature that detects movement and put the phone into sleep mode, give the user a 30 second window to complete business and turn off the phone. after two warnings the phone goes to sleep. It is very scary to see people driving and trying to text or…

  7. Protect consumers from third-party access and control of our devices and our lives!

Prevent third-parties from accessing consumers' information. Enforce policies that protect our rights, rather than take them away. Make changes for the safety of the citizens of our country, but please don't abuse the power that you have.

  8. Force Verizon to answer all questions in my complaint, then enforce the law against verizon.

Verizon did not answer questions in my complaint. They did not provide evidence, proof or the law. The FCC provided an investigator that covers up for Verizon, answers did not address the issues in the complaint. Verizon continues to illegally over charge me in monthly invoices, fees and FSLC. FCC does not enforce laws, does not force carrier to comply with the law. Its a waste of time to file a complaint, since nothing gets resolved, status quo, Verizon is protected by the FCC from complying with the law.

  10. Stop corrupt landlords from monitoring tenants email accounts

I had no idea I was signing a lease to a house December 2010 owned by St Vincent De Paul-Father Joe Villages in San Diego. I also did not know they were involved in drug trafficking and monitored tenants email accounts via Cox Communications. Here is my nightmarish story. It all started Friday March 1,2013 two white males and a white female with a large dog entered Village Place aka New Jack City 32 17th Street San Diego,Ca 92101 around 6:30 p.m. First they went to the second floor to Johnny's a strange acting Black male. Then Willie Ray Meadow's

  12. If you shut down the internet and regulate information? We have to assume that this means war and we will just shut it down..

The war on information is Naziism and cannot be allowed in the land of the FREE. We no longer need government. We have simply outgrown them. We have taken back our consent to be governed by FORCE. Electricity can be free thanks to the true Father of Our Country Nicola Tesla ..There for it only stands to reason that the internet should be free. Information should be free. Life should be free and beautiful but the greed in men's hearts wants to enslave and hold down human progress and most importantly it is an attack on LOVE and what is…

  13. Simplify the report process for robocalls to a single number entry form and act based on statistics and frequency.

Why not allowing people to report robocall numbers in a simple box instead of the overwhelming form currently used.

Act on it based on statistics or frequency of the reported number, and make carriers responsible for violators.

We have the technology to do it. Get over the bureaucracy-minded attitude and do something to stop this people.

  14. WEA Wireless Emergency Alert

Though WEA is a good idea it is not very useful in it's present form. Choice desperately needs to be added. To be useful alert type and times for accepting alerts needs to be added.

Example, I will likely never be out anywhere in the middle of the night to spot a child abductor; though it is possible I could during daylight hours. When I was awoken at 1:00 AM by an Amber alert my only choice was to disable Amber alerts entirely. For this reason myself and millions of others are not participating at in this program that can…

  15. Stop Telemarketers from spamming us with their calls daily/hourly

These Telemarketer's Calls coming in are like email spam and we get up to a dozen a day. 90% of the numbers on our caller-id are from telemarketers spamming us with their calls. One Place that calls 3 times a day is the CARD HOLDER's Services and the others are from HOME IMPROVEMENT contractors wanting to fix up your home. I do believe contractors are not supposed to calling and bugging us on a daily/hourly basis.

When the DO-NOT-CALL-LIST came about, I would call the number and report these people for months, and up to a year, but after seeing…

  16. require terrestrial broadband providers to give a minimum usage cap of 1 terabyte

Isps claim a family of 4 only uses about 250 gigabytesvof data per month. I disagree with this and think the minimum data cap they impose should be no less than 1 terabyte as most current caps allow for less than 1 hour of the Netflix use per day per person and that's not acceptable.

  17. demand that all 2015/2016 presidential debates be made available to ALL interested citizens via national broadcast channels!

This is the first Presidential Election whose debates are not allowed to be seen by ALL of its citizens.

Cable outlets are grossly discriminating against "cord-cutters" to boost their ratings and advertising revenues by prohibiting same-day viewing of the presidential candidates' participation in the scheduled 2015/2016 debates without an active cable subscription.

All citizens should have the right to view the televised debates without being forced to pay for a cable subscription!

Stop the debate sponsors from denying the freedom to view the 2015/2016 scheduled debates. It should never be a "pay to play" right of the voting public!

  18. Robocalls are strangling my small business!

I empty my "block caller list" monthly. I have to delete them one at a time which is time consuming, but at least I have a list. There are at least 200 numbers each month. Since I have multiple phone lines there are usually 3 or more calls from each number before I can get them stopped. This means I am interrupted between 20 and 30 times a day. I am seriously considering having a message saying no calls will be answered and allowing only email and Skype. Please, please stop them.

  20. end caps and tethering restrictions on data service

If I watch one tv show or ten shows, the cable companies still make money from me and their advert listings. The same should be true of my Internet service and my devices that deliver said data. How I access the data is my concern regardless of my desire to tether 10 gigs to my laptop or use this ten gigs on only my mobile phone Or a game console. This is an overreaching and ridiculous ploy by the digital carriers to double dip and charge twice for services already paid for in full.
