  2. Require ads for broadband and cable/satellite TV services to also include the current, standard prices.

It is difficult to compare the long term cost of similar services from different providers since the current ads for these services only include the special, time limited, price and no reference to current pricing.

  3. Post your data on how do-not-call complaints have been handled by the FCC.

We the consumers need to know what the FCC is actually doing about all the Do Not Call complaints that have been filed. The fact that huge volumes of unwanted calls still occur suggests that your complaint box is nothing but a black hole. To prove that the government is actually taking useful action, publish the statistics on what happens to all of these cases!

  4. Limit time for TV ads to 10% of program

TV ads should be limited to no more than 10% of viewing time for each program. We are paying to watch commercials...stupid, repetitous commercials. There has to be some limitation. Why do we have to see the same commercial 10 times during a 60-minute program?? Put the commercials at the beginning and at the end of programs so we can get up and go to the bathroom or something.

  5. Clarify the scope of FCC jurisdiction thoroughly

I have an ongoing complaint with Comcast because they have blocked HBO Go access for Playstation systems and have not communicated any intention of doing this ever.

Both times I've complained, Comcasts reply is that "confirmation that a particular customer is a Comcast customer" does not relate to internet access. This seems to be a satisfactory reply for the FCC, but it is not for me.

I would like a clear outline of what areas of internet access the FCC can help the public with.

  7. Require all online display of "obscene, indecent, or profane" material to require e-mail authentication first.

Since wire and radio communications are now often done using the common carrier IP protocol, making these communications to the individual is not an illegal broadcast. Making these "obscene, indecent, or profane" communications to the general public is a crime the FCC must soon begin prosecuting to keep the public safe.

  8. Reclassify broadband under Title II of the Communications Act of 1934. The internet is a utility to which we should all have equal access.

  9. make ">tracert" hop count router data easy for consumers to understand

FCC want to "look under the hood" get data on speed. Very few consumers know how to do tracert and see the number of hops or the router names. Consumers know "my internet connection is slow" but do not know the reason why. FCC want to look under the hood - give consumers the tools the ability to see tracert data and send it to FCC.

  10. Provide a phone number list of all providers/carriers so that unauthorized ports can be handled faster/numbers can be regained by owner.

I work for a VoIP company and we experience unauthorized ports happening to our customers. We want to help them regain their rightfully owned numbers, but we do not have any contact information, nor can we verify who the supposed carrier is. We need this information so the customers can regain their number. How is it that the numbers get ripped away from us anyway? Is there a way to track them down and hold them accountable? Again, these are unauthorized ports. It shouldn't happen in the first place.

  11. Mandate cell phone carriers be limited to no more than one month for testing of updates

Cell phone carriers are notorious slow in delivering firmware and software update to us users. Some may even be using this "we must test" power to control the sales of devices on their network. They delay the update on device #1 to make device #2 seem better for sales, knowing full well that the update for the device #1 would make it far better than device #2 that they are trying to sell. They should be mandated to allow no more than one month for the testing of these updates. Failure to complete testing would legally allow the manufacturer to…

  12. Ban "Spam" or Predatory advertising on Radio

Many of the commercials on our local radio stations sound very much like email spam. This may not be illegal but it a serious problem. I just heard a message for a Federal Student Aide help meeting, due to the number of "spam" advertisements, I am not sure if it is a private company trying to get people to pay for something they can do themselves or a valid assistance program offered by our government. Many of the commercials I am referring to are for mortgage help, loans, or credit card debt programs. They all try to sound official and…

  13. Make it specific since websites use cookies and beacon technology.

keep new and current. fAQ' are helpful but it can be dated for someone who visits the site regularly- whether it's monthly or weekly. fcc regulates telecommunications-a what's new section.

  14. The FCC should actively promote data.

Use Facebook to promote data as well as an abstract of what it may mean to the public. Maybe you do this already, I've never thought to look till now.

  15. Do not pursue Obama's idea of Net neutrality.

The internet is functioning fine as it is on the free enterprise system. There is no need for "taxing" or "utilitizing" the internet. This is a guise for the government again reaching into American's lives for more handouts while stealing more and more freedoms. The internet has also become a much needed area for employment and opened creativity and enterprise of the human world to provide for needs and wants and make an income in the process.

  16. Identification of sponsors of political TV ads should be required to be in an easily readable typeface

Most TV Ads identify the sponsor, often a PAC, in a dense and difficult to read font. They also restrict the identification to the last screen of the ad, so that its short duration precludes reading.

  17. Inform the public of their "Bill of Rights" to acceptable cell phone service.

Currently wireless providers can sell you a plan knowing that there are problems with signal strength in the area you reside the FCC should inform the wireless providers that this is unacceptable and that the consumer has a right to good service or the contract can be cancelled at no cost to the customer,

  19. You can STOP considering putting Government officials in newsrooms around the US

Stop you plans to put Government official in newsroom around the country - this is NOT North Korea, This is NOT the Soviet Union. This is NOT Iran. The Government has no business in news rooms. We do not need thought police in our lives. Where am I living - I thought it was the USA. Stop abusing power.
