At the FCC, we are committed to unlocking our agencies data and putting open, machine readable data into the hands of citizen developers and the community. Let us know how we can improve FCC.gov/Data

  2. Over Charging Prison and Jail Inmates Families / Friends

Over Charging Prison and Jail Inmates Families / Friends should be illegal. the FCC has done a great job because for years these companies have been billing thousands of dollars to the innocent families and now it's finally more reasonable BUT, the companies are still robbing them by charging a $6.95 to process their check, credit or debit card payments! there should be no extra fees charged that any other consumer does not pay! Rehabilitation depends on support of good strong family and friends. contact should be made as reasonable as any other person pays for a phone call!

  5. When down loading information from the FCC Database using the 'download query tool'

When down loading information from the FCC Database using the 'download query tool' the information is very difficult to sift through when downloading large amounts of data. Data is compiled into several different tables in the same text file (same sheet when imported into excel) There are no data labels and the information across tables do not match. It would be helpful if there was at least an explanation for this, but more useful would be the ability to match, for example, a tower owner with the long/lat co ordinance across data tables. Also, it would be nice to know…

  6. Allow for the public to have access to toll free reverse look up

Have a website to allow the public to place a toll free number in a phone data cell. Then report to who ever is checking on the entity that is responsible for that toll free number what the name of the entity and address is.

  7. Please make a Do Not Call List for charity calls

I receive numerous calls from all sorts of charities, and I wish for those calls to be stopped. If I wish to give to a charity, I made a donation, but these calls are turning me against the charities that are calling so often.
Emails from various charities would be much better than the on-going constant calls. I also wonder if some of those calls are from scammers. Please help with this issue and the problems caused by so many different charity solicitations.

  12. Define Terms Like NetNeutrality Clearly

NetNetrality is a term/phrase for governance, as a utility, telecommunications infrastructure owners & operators (Verizon, ComCast, ATT ...), all of which are known as "Internet Access Providers" (IAPs).

Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are online services providers like retail stores, bank, libraries, science & industrial data sharing, music & movie (iStore, Amazon, Google ...) content/app providers ....

REMEMBER:IAP is about ITU Infrastructure.ISP is about W3C Services. The FCC needs to clearly define for the USA public and politicians what the FCC will and won't govern in the interest of "The People."

IAPs require ITU/IEEE... standards for Open market competition.ISPs require W3C/OASIS standards…

  13. CCC = CONSUMER COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION

Jeez Julius - how did you allow your agency to become such a complete disaster serving the needs of the CONSUMER - ie the taxpayer that entrusted you to regulate the Carriers, Cable, and Communications Industr. Maybe you should go back into the IBanking business with Mitt - you two might make an interesting pair in private equity because both of your careers are over in Public Service.

ATT - you probably have heard about that company. Let's talk about their wireless network - how can you support a network that drops calls - and makes claims that just are…

  14. Add THE WEATHER CHANNEL

I believe The Weather Channel should be added to all basic cable line ups. It's important and necessary safety information for the public and no one should have to upgrade and pay more for this information!!

  19. Require all online display of "obscene, indecent, or profane" material to require e-mail authentication first.

Since wire and radio communications are now often done using the common carrier IP protocol, making these communications to the individual is not an illegal broadcast. Making these "obscene, indecent, or profane" communications to the general public is a crime the FCC must soon begin prosecuting to keep the public safe.

  20. Require ads for broadband and cable/satellite TV services to also include the current, standard prices.

It is difficult to compare the long term cost of similar services from different providers since the current ads for these services only include the special, time limited, price and no reference to current pricing.
