Data

At the FCC, we are committed to unlocking our agencies data and putting open, machine readable data into the hands of citizen developers and the community. Let us know how we can improve FCC.gov/Data

  1. stop data throttling

I believe the FCC should end the data throttling. Its outrageous that companies like AT&T can throttle unlimited data customers after 5GB but still offer data plans up to 100gb

  3. Do not change the Net Neutrality Act. 100% No, to tiered access.

Access should remain the same for all users. Me, you, Google, Netflix, Youtube, anyone... everyone.

  4. Put in place a method of providing the FCC with Part 15/18 RFI complaints, via the web, including follow up.

  5. Full steam ahead with your proposal for free public wifi nationwide!

This is the most exciting idea the FCC has proposed in years, if not decades. A free, nationwide wifi network would be an incredible boon to our infrastructure and economy. It would help democratize the internet and diminish the digital divide. Please don't let Big Telecom's well-paid lobbyists dissuade you. Use the authority you have to move ahead with this revolutionary idea.

  8. Expand frequency coverage in Spectrum Dashboard API.

The current Spectrum Dashboard API only covers 225 MHz to 3.7 GHz. It would be nice if it covered the 3 kHz to 300 GHz that is distributed in the OET Spectrum Table (which is currently only distributed in a non-machine readable formats).

  9. Enforcement!!!!!

Enforcement of the Do Not Call List is totally obscure. I have filed my second complaint with the FCC regarding telemarketing and robo calls on my cell and landline. In filing the second complaint I have provided a list of approximately 40 numbers from May - July with as much information on each of them as possible. I understand there are some organizations that are exempt such as political (which I totally disagree with) but the calls are out of control and these people know they won't be touched. Not that they can not be they just aren't. Since filing…

  11. Followup!!!

Letting us know what happens after a complaint is made. Like a follow up to know that something is being done and what is being done about it so our complaints arent left unheard

  12. limit political robocalls to one a day (or none)!! AND add an opt-out requirement so we can stop them for subsequent calls!

Have received 8 calls from one primary candidate in a 24 hr period -- he has also apparently shared my number with his political party -- 2 calls in a 24 hr period -- and with some issues canvassers -- 2 more calls in 24 hrs. That is 12 calls in 24 hours. This has been going on all week. I MUST have a way to opt out of these calls -- all of them. This is ABUSE. If there is no way to stop the calls, then make them buy an FCC license for each call so cost will…

  13. Keep the internet neutral and accessible for all

The FCC listens to the people of the world and keeps the internet open regardless of income, or use.

  14. The do not call list does not seem to work. We need harsher penalties.

Make it COMPLETELY illegal for telemarketers to call. NOBODY wants a phone call from a telemarketer.

  15. Reduce the number of inaccuracies on major news stations and do not allow news stations to make claims without certain facts

Most major news stations today are becoming very biased and reporting stories inaccurately. We need to reduce this so the people who watch these stations get the right facts. The stations should do a full report on the story when all of the facts have come back. Some stations are skewing the truth to make better stories and it is causing too much controversy. Please help to reduce inaccuracies.

  16. Who sold my information to the auto-dialer bots?

The most empowering and valuable information the FCC can provide consumers, like myself, is what businesses are supplying these guys with our personal details (name, cellphone numbers, etc).
After the FCC fines a company or shuts down a phone number, it should publish facts about the company that owns the phone number and businesses associated with selling information to them.
ie; If it's my "UnionChase MaestroKard" causing harassing phone calls, that information could empower consumers to stop future business activity with them.

  19. Your website is abominable.

I am not familiar with FCC jargon. The only part that makes sense is this complaint board. All I want to do is to find out why my local radio station went dead. There were no announcements, no reasons given, just a lot of gossip in town. All I could find easily is that there was an ammendment to the renewal late in January, but no link or suggestion of a next step or any way to find out what is going on. Would you be so kind as to educate us novices with everyday language in addition to your…
