  1. License search not working

I am expecting my new call sign to show up in the license database for Amateur Radio but the system says it is down for maintenance until 2:00 AM EDT. It is now 8:00 AM EDT and it still is reporting the same thing.

  2. Error I'd like to report: Chairman

The chairman of FCC incorporated is a paid lobbyist. I believe the error can be fixed by removing said chairman, and replacing him with someone who works for the people, and not for his cable companies.

It is very important to use the revolving door between business and government to make millions of dollars for yourself while you sell out our democracy for personal gain. I understand that this could even be considered to have undertones of treasonous behavior. But in reality this is not the type of person who should be running the FCC. It is UnAmerican.

  3. [bug] apps.fcc.gov does not resolve to an IP address from ISP's DNS servers, but DOES resolve using Google DNS (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4)

When I go to http://apps.fcc.gov/ecfs/comment_search/execute?proceeding=14-28, my browser sits on a blank page for a while, but eventually returns with a "server not found" error.

When I ping apps.fcc.gov from my desktop, I get a "server not found" error.

When I log into my router and ping apps.fcc.gov, I get a "server not found" error.

When I log into an offsite server hosted out of a datacenter and ping apps.fcc.gov, I get a response.

When I go directly to http://192.104.54.190/ecfs/comment_search/execute?proceeding=14-28, my browser loads the appropriate page.

When I change my desktop system settings to no longer use my ISP's…

  4. You'd love our thoughts on net neutrality? Then why has your site been too buggy to use all 3 times I've tried?

You'd love our thoughts on net neutrality and how ou're planning on demolishing it, and yet, SHOCKINGLY, all 3 times I've tried to file a comment your site, the comments section is somehow compromised. eyeroll

  5. The current changes proposed to end net neutrality are absolutely outrageous. Telecom companies will get far too much power.

Stop this terrible idea. Keep the internet equal and focus on improving usage for consumers and providing access to information to the world/

  6. Are you freaking kidding me, Get the heck out of my internet. You are limiting my freedom of speech, and allowing a monopoly to form!

By trying to regulate the internet at all you run the risk of severely limiting the free exchange of ideas, and by handing this regulating power over to cable companies you are basically are making as much since as telling gravity not to work. I value my constitutionally promised freedom of speech: GET THE HECK OUT OF MY INTERNET!!!

  9. Count 'Em

Trying to renew an Amateur Radio license. I've had one since 1962, but this time it's incomprehensible and the BS pylons set up are insurmountable. Oh, the first "Complaint" screen says "No Longer Here" or whatever. Imagine that. USELESS! Guess I'll have to go pirate radio.

  10. Net Neutrality is a great idea

If it gets messed around by cable companies like Comcast and Verizon then it then makes the Internet not for free anymore. Fast lanes and slowdown lanes are a bad idea. We deserve all fast lanes regardless if there are pros and cons. If you mess it up you will mess up the rest of the world's internet. Youtuber's will lose a ton of subscribers from America, Americans won't be able to talk to friends who are from another countries on Skype. Online games such as Minecraft and Xbox Live will go downhill since Americans are not longer able to…

  14. spectrum dashboard

Spectrum Dashboard is over 6 months out of date with the FCC ULS. I found this while researching licenses on C Spire (Cellular South). For instance, the consummated AT&T and VzW spectrum transactions with C Spire were not reflected in Spectrum Dashboard. This is the worst that I've seen it since Spectrum Dashboard's inception. When will
Spectrum Dashboard keep parity with FCC ULS?

  15. consumer complaint

The new Consumer Complaints forms are a big improvement over the previous method of filing a compliant.

Some suggestions for improvement for filing a Phone Complaint:
The drop down box 'Phone Issue' should be the first item on the page. The Subject & Description should not be required fields (these seem to duplicate the information in the drop down 'Phone Issue field'

For fax complaints, these fields should be optional since information is often not available:
    Fax Advertiser Individual Name
Fax Advertiser Phone Number of Sending Machine

For fax complaints, 'Date of Your Issue/Problem' and 'Fax Advertiser Transmission Date' seems…

  16. transition.fcc.gov not correctly reaching pages.

A whole ton of stuff is currently not available through the FCC website. Mainly anything that goes through transition.fcc.gov. Attempts are reaching 503 errors and then reaching the "government shutdown" message.

We have one PC that is picking up some, but not all services. transition.fcc.gov is consistently resolving to IP address 23.202.227.224. If I go to transition.fcc.gov, I get a page but with a bunch of broken graphics.

If I try to ping transition.fcc.gov from other locations, I am getting random IP addresses every time (round-robin servers?) From one of these remote locations (as well as via Google translator), I…

  19. Many links point to the blog when they shouldn't

http://wireless.fcc.gov/index.htm?job=online_filing automatically forwards to https://www.fcc.gov/blog/modernizing-fcc-s-it as do several other links. Tried from Firefox and Chromium on Ubuntu 14.04.
