Template Form for Questions
For any given topic, offer a form that guides people in how to frame their questions or suggestions. It would be helpful to give me a template for a 1-page policy memo, a couple of fields for a question, etc.

Allow a place where consumers can post which sites are being degraded by which telecom companies.
There is no place to complain about how Century Link is downthrottlin/degrading my Netflix. I have no better alternatives either. I am stuck with slow streaming. I hear we are like ranked 15th in the world for our slow telecom services that are offered in the U.S. Japan and S. Korea are much better. I pull up many documents that talk about degrading on this site but no way to make formal complaint? Your site is conflicted as to whether it is an issue. I may not be an issue for FCC but it is with consumers. FCC needs to…

Get the government out of the the business of providing phone service for the poor or the lazy.
I am being charged a subscriber line fee in order that free loaders can have phone service. This is socialism and I don't want to support or live in a socialist country. Discontinue this charge so that I can afford to have a wire line to my house.

email confirmation/submission page to sender
I forgot to print the submission page with the confirmation number.
There is no way of retrieving it electronically.
Sending the sender an email confirmation will solve this issue.4 votes -

The changing logo on scroll is slightly distracting.
The animation and change tends to catch the eye on scroll, maybe it'd be better to always display the smaller logo?

Fix the front page slideshow to fit neatly on the grid on the sides.
It really makes me think it didn't render right in my browser and makes it look broken. Eliminate the translucent black border around the front page slideshow.

stop listening to the cry babies about language in songs
stop changing song lyrics due to some lyrics; example toes in the water and in the sand, leave it alone

Mobile Safari floating search + title disappear
In Mobile Safari, the floating search and title div don't use the fixed position of the viewport, but slide under the top edge. Then, scrolling back to the top of the page shows the wrong graphic position.

Get the "search" feature working.
I'm looking for a two year old Commission report, but the old link to the document doesn't work and the new site's "search" function yields zero helpful results. As of a couple of days ago, I was able to find it by choosing to use the previous fcc.gov and searching from there. However, now even that seems to be turned off.

Make it usable by the people not lawyers and technicians.
It does not appear that your average American could make heads or tails of this website.
As a taxpayer I want to know what this agency is doing.3 votes -
Search autocomplete is completely useless / broken
The search suggestions/autocomplete is totally broken (using Firefox 4). I type in "file a complaint" and the results are a garbled mess of text which reads something to the effect of "file a complaintfile a complaintsfile a complaintshtmfile a complaint1file a complaints1" (unfortunately I can't post a screenshot).
Dev team should probably do a little bit of actual browser testing before launching a >$1M website... not entirely competent, honestly.

Changing the font size breaks rendering in firefox 4
Changing the font size to large creates a very odd looking broken fcc logo in current Firefox 4.

Don't require scripting
A requirement for scripting creates endless browser compatibility issues, opens countless security holes, and creates conflicts with beneficial browser security features and plug-ins. It also paves the way for spying on users. For example, on this page, there are "Google analytics" scripts which spy on users' activities! It is highly inappropriate for any government Web site to enable spying on visitors by a private corporation.
