How can MyFCC be made better? What changes would you make to existing widgets in order to improve them?

For that last four years I been receiving weird phone calls. I had my phone number put on a no call list in Wisconsin and even reported.
For that last four years I been receiving weird phone calls. I had my phone number put on a no call list in Wisconsin and even reported. Fine the people and companies that are soliciting by phone. This is like went people were going door to door soliciting goods which is illegal now.

Re: TCPA. Please define in plain language what "prior express consent" means regarding EBR.
Prior express consent seems to be all over the map. An EBR does not mean a creditor can bombard you with unwarranted robocalls up to seven times a day, every day. If it does, then the FCC needs to put that in plain language, if not, then clearly separate the two. I think it's ridiculous to allow the courts, differing in opinions, to decide what they "think" the FCC/FTC defines as PRC. Giving my daughter the keys to the car to go to the mall, doesn't mean she can take the car and drive across country with her friends. Geez,…

Filter by cable/OTA DMAs
Add a filter for "DMAs" - Use the TVB.org list as a template. This breaks up the major media markets, and allows wireless providers, TV providers and other interested parties to match FCC footprint to their own footprint much easier.

Make it simpler to locate our previous filings and Submissions with the FCC.gov
We had filed a request for investigation of StraightTalk (Tracfone Wireless), but it's impossible for us to find the submission and get any status updates on it!!

Simplify your website. Make it easier to find information!
Make you new web site easier to navigate and make it easier to find information needed. Like it used to be less than 4 years ago.

Make major new rule changes like new cross-ownership rule (Jan 2013) easy to find and understand
You can "improve FCC" by featuring top 5 new rule changes on front, give details on deadline and where to comment online (or email)? Where can we read FCC rationale for cross-ownership rule change? Navigating FCC site is a nightmare. Are you afraid of repeat of massive public response of thousands of comments you got last two times you tried to increase media conglomeration with cross-ownership in 2003 and 2007? People who hear about rule and come here to comment give up quickly in frustration, like a Soviet-style website. Why no public hearings on this rule this time?

Email search engines that invade privacy via email address
There are several companies that offer (for a price) information from a person's email address personal information as to address, gender, and communities joined or companies ordered from... how is this legal? Try it yourself, write your email address in a search engine and see what i mean....

Nonworking unsubscribe option
Convenient manner in which to report companies that have outdated or bogus non subscribe options. It would seem that this could be an
automatic function once the complaint is verified.2 votes -
WHY does nearly everything you click on open in a new page/tab??? The entire 'NEW FCC.gov' appears to have been poorly designed.
The entire NEW 'fcc.org' is poorly designed and does not serve the professional user or the general public. It looks as though it's another glaring example of someone being awarded a 'design' contract and not knowing the end users and how they actually use the site. 'Change for the sake of change' instead of change to answer a need and improve function. Typical of government... "because we can"! AWFUL.

Is there a method to forward SPAM with out opening the mail?
Can there be a method to forward SPAM with out having to open the email? This would ensure that SPAM is reported and would limit it's excess...what is the use of CAN SPAM if the method to stop it is not effective nor accessible? Typos on first ideal so sending again.

Is there a method to forward SPAM with out opening the mail?
When we have SPAM there is not a way to report it with out forwarding the mail--is it possible to forward Spam with out having to open the email so that it can be directed to the proper authorities?

Have an expanded or volunteer group that uphold FCC guidelines
Similar to Snoops or Wikapedia, we need more perople power to stop the abuse that is happening on the net. I recently joined a group FixYa to find a solution to a problem with my heater. Later to find that Both my name and email address is posted on the web. The company states it has a privacy policy... not sure. It is not the the www's business about what i need fixed in my home. The generic forms current in use to not address the abuse out there.

when rolling out CMAS...
Require phone providers (particularly TMobile) to (first) make available to consumers an app or ? to EASILY control the CMAS alert settings. Right now NO ONE at Tmobile knows how to find the app/setting.
I don't care about snowstorms in Colorado; they are a part of our local industry.

Be More Mindful of de facto "Monopolies"
Comcast essentially has a monopoly on Internet services in the Denver metro area. Recently, their customer service has been insanely poor causing problems for customers as well as the unfortunate people who have to deal with angry customers. Something's amiss at Comcast. They're mailing equipment I never ordered; changing/adding services never authorized; disconnecting service without explanation; not advising customers of critical details related to service and equipment, and that's just in the month of November 2012. I've made between 7 and 10 calls to them this month alone trying to straighten out their messes just to get my telephone and…

My FCC does not log in
I want to use my Google ID to log in. All that comes up is a blank page with the normal FCC header. No widgets, no log out or log in. No place to click to add widgets. Nothing. Both IE and Chrome browsers do this. What's the point of personalizing if you can't?

I'm 67 and live in Bradenton Florida where the only choices for internet and phone service are BrightHouse and Verizon. Both these services are too expensive for me. I need a phone so I can contact my Dr.'s, pharmacies and the few people I know. A phone is an essential service for me but there are no options other than using these big, bloated overpriced companies. I use the Internet to keep up with the news and to pay my bills on-line. Having a television through one of these providers is only a dream. The cost of the very basic…

more info for speedtests
When asking consumers to do a speed test, you should ask for provider, advertised speed, and cost of service. Addition questions that would be helpful are, other services included in given price and satisfaction.
